Sr Arpita Arukkakkal was elected as the 9th Superior General on 19 September 2018. Her election to be the Superior General made her the rare person who held two positions simultaneously as Provincial Superior and Superior General till the new Provincial Superior was elected in India. An Educationist by Profession, it was the first time that a Superior General was elected from India who was not so familiar with German language and culture. A God fearing, intelligent, and prayerful person, she takes keen interest for the growth of all three Provinces and the Region in Mozambique. The present young team has completed the task of the renewal of Constitution and Directory of the Congregation in three languages.
